there we go good evening welcome to the
Planning and Zoning commission hearing
for October 18th G to have a roll call
please chairman human here Vice chair
Kos here commissioner Morgan
commissioner Quinn here commissioner
Velasquez here commissioner bar Kell
commissioner Lopez here we have Quorum
commissioner Morgan did call in so he
has an excused absence the next item is
our Pledge of Allegiance led by the Vice
chair I pledge allegiance to the flag of
the United States of America and to the
Republic for which it stands one nation
under God indivisible with liberty and
justice for all thank you Vice
chair okay to the audience prior to this
meeting we had
a study session going over the items one
through six which includes the
cancellation of the November 1 meeting
is there any item on the agenda that
anybody wants to have a hearing
about if not what is the commission's
pleasure Comm
chairman commission Lopez I move for the
approval of the October 18th regular
meeting for Planning and Zoning okay
have a second second okay we have a
second any further discussion all those
in favor say I I any opposed any
abstention motion carries okay we are
recommending body to the council this
moves on to
council what next week or
November November okay at the November
meeting so all right any announcements
from staff uh just really quick chairman
so uh with your consent agenda we
canceled the uh November 1st Planning
Commission so the next one's November
15th that is the day that we are
targeting bringing back uh that really
small pile of code amendments that we
talked about in that work session so uh
we are feverishly working we're in the
middle of the kind of stakeholder
Outreach comment period been getting a
lot of good feedback and making lots of
tweaks to this code uh so we really
anticipate bringing back on November 15
the code amendments more than likely
because it's such a big pile and we got
a lot of good feedback from commission
at the work session we want to be able
to walk you through all the changes and
feedback we've gotten and what we the
changes that we've made and allow enough
time for comments and any other kind of
feedback so more than likely we're going
to schedule a much longer study session
on that day um so we can really walk you
through each one of those things so I
haven't we haven't figured out kind of
what time that is but I would anticipate
at least a twoh hour kind of study
session to include whatever other cases
we have as well to walk you through all
that so just want to give you a heads up
get it on your on your mental calendars
and we did talk about in prch with David
to extend it out so that we can talk
about it and possibly vote on each
Amendment separately if we have to or
discuss each item so okay yeah when we
bring It Forward we were we actually
talking about that today in staff mean
of how we bring this forward because we
wouldn't want the whole entire pile to
tank because of one item and we're not
able to kind of extract it out so well
not wanting to have to go through maybe
every sing motion for every single
article of code that we're changing
we're going to figure out a way to do
that in a way that we can uh make it
easy to motion if if something's just
not ready we can slide it out and not
take down the whole group of the earlyer
you're can get that commission to be
great versus Friday just so we have a
little bit more time to go through it
because it was a pretty long packet so
okay we'll do any other any other items
that's it any other items from okay just
an one quick one there are two both Mesa
and kirne both have override elections
going on it's all I think they're both
all mailin so I just encourage you to
vote for those look at there's publicity
pamphlets and if you can take a look at
them make sure you vote uh on those
items so with that we are
adjourned
